What is the latest innovation we have adopted? Remote orthodontic treatment monitoring!
When you have orthodontic treatment with us, one of our doctors need to check your teeth on a regular basis to make sure that they are moving according to plan. If they are not, then your treatment may take much longer to complete than originally planned, so check-ups are essential to your success in straightening your teeth.
In some orthodontic appointments, patients need to have their braces adjusted. In others, patients need to try in aligner trays so the dentist can check the fit. However, most orthodontic check-ups simply involve looking at the teeth to verify that they are making progress.
You may wonder: ‘why travel all the way to the dental practice just so the dentist can look at my teeth for two minutes?’
We have thought about that, too. That is why we chose to integrate a program into our orthodontic workflow that allows you to get an orthodontic progress check from the comfort of your own home.
That program is called Dental Monitoring.
Dental Monitoring comes with a smartphone app that you will download onto your phone. All you have to do is take photos (‘selfies’) with your phone according to the instructions in the app and send them to us when we ask you to. You will send your images through this secure app, so no one else will see your teeth besides our orthodontic team.
Thanks to Dental Monitoring, you can share your progress pictures with one of our doctors to evaluate ,without having to leave your home. Depending on what our doctor sees in your images, we will let you know the next step to take. This method cuts down on the number of times you have to visit us in person over the course of your treatment.
Dental Monitoring works particularly well for Invisalign® and other clear aligner treatments.

We offer free consultations for treatments like braces, implants and smile makeovers. During your consultation, you can chat with our treatment coordinator to learn more about how the treatment works, how much it costs and whether you are a candidate.
